What we collect
When you ask to see a contractor’s phone number we ask for your name, mobile number, area, the work you need, and optionally your budget and a short description. We also record the page you were on and the time.
How we use it
We share your enquiry with the contractor you selected so they can contact you, and we use it to run and improve Contractor Book. We do not sell your information.
Who can see it
Your enquiry is visible to Contractor Book administrators and the contractor you contacted. It is never shown publicly.
Storage and retention
Enquiries are kept for a limited period and then deleted. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time using the contact page.
Cookies and analytics
We count profile views and contact actions per contractor without storing your IP address. Your saved and compared contractors are kept only in your own browser.
Location
If you tap “Use my location”, your browser asks for permission. Your coordinates are used to find nearby contractors and are not stored.
